What's The Definition Of The Medical Condition Atractylic Acid?

A highly toxic glycoside isolated from Atractylis gummifera and other thistles. It inhibits mitochondrial translocase. Its inhibitory action blocks oxidative phosphorylation of adenosine nucleotides through mitochondrial membranes.
