What's The Definition Of The Medical Condition Enterocolitis, Pseudomembranous?
Acute inflammation of the small and large intestinal mucosa with formation of pseudomembranous plaques over superficial ulceration. It is commonly associated with antibiotic therapy and CLOSTRIDIUM DIFFICILE is often implicated.
