What's The Definition Of The Medical Condition Lipoxygenase, Arachidonic Acid?

Enzymes catalyzing the oxidation of arachidonic acid to hydroperoxyarachidonates (HPETES). These products are then rapidly converted by a peroxidase to hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acids (HETES).
