What's The Definition Of The Medical Condition NADH-Ferrihemoglobin Reductase?
An erythrocyte enzyme which catalyzes the reduction of methemoglobin (ferrihemoglobin) to hemoglobin (ferrohemoglobin). Deficiency produces the inherited disease familial methemoglobinemia. In the absence of methemoglobin, the enzyme can also reduce methylene blue.
