An isothermal in-vitro nucleotide amplification process. The process involves the concomitant action of a RNA-DIRECTED DNA POLYMERASE, a ribonuclease (RIBONUCLEASES), and a DNA-DIRECTED RNA POLYMERASE to synthesize large quantities of sequence-specific RNA and DNA molecules.
