What's The Definition Of The Medical Condition Placental Proteins?

Proteins produced by organs of the mother or the placenta during pregnancy. They may be either pregnancy specific (present only during pregnancy) or pregnancy associated (always present during pregnancy, but may also be present in individuals undergoing estrogen therapy, taking oral contraceptives or in patients with certain malignancies.)
