What's The Definition Of The Medical Condition Transin?
An extracellular endopeptidase of vertebrate tissues similar to INTERSTITIAL COLLAGENASE. It digests proteoglycan, fibronectin, collagen types III, IV, V, and IX, and activates procollagenase. (Enzyme Nomenclature, 1992) EC 3.4.24.17.
